Gone Shooting

For the first time in approximately 20 years I went to the firing range to go target shooting. I must say I had more fun than I remember having. Granted the primary purpose for going was to get familiar with my new Glock 22 .40 caliber handgun and to see how bad my shot was since I have not fired a real weapon in 20 years.
Well my first in my first 15 rounds 13 of them hit center mass (I know odd that it was 13, I love the number thirteen.) but all 15 would be considered kill shots as my instructor had said. I had a friend from the LAPD come show me how to shoot and make sure I wasn’t doing anything unsafe. It was nice to hear from him that I had all the safety procedures down and he had no worries about me and my gun safety.
He only shot one 15 round clip and a couple of bullets besides, I asked him if he wanted to shoot more and he said he was having more fun showing me things than shooting.
All things considered, after about 200 rounds and about an hour on the range I had a blast. (no pun intended.) I am also confident that when I go test for my Security Officer Open Carry permit that I will pass with flying colors.
How many readers of my blog are gun owners and shooters? How many are LEO’s (Law Enforcement Officers) or S/O’s (Security Officers)? I would love to hear about your favorite shooting games and other things that make target shooting a fun experience. As always your comments are always welcome.
Until the next time,
Thirteen
