Moving day is fast approaching!

That’s right, we are moving. Seems strange to pack up an entire home (2 bedroom apt) to move 3.1 miles away. However life has changed for us enough where a 3 bedroom unit will be better. This time it will be a condo rather than an apartment. I know what is the difference. Well the difference is plan as day. In Condo area’s most people that are there are owners and owners seem to have more pride in where they live. Maybe it’s because they have put such a huge investment into getting thier home. Where as an apartment complex, none of your neighbors have that vested interest. Does that mean that apartment dwellers are somehow not as good? In a lot of cases, sadly, yes. You see those that stay in apartments usually have the rent-a-car syndrome.  You know the saying, “Who cares it’s a rental.” And sadly that has become the case where we live. Granted we have had and still have some great nieghbors that don’t have that attitude, however overall the social dynamic of the neighborhood has gone far down hill. So much so that we would move to a single bedroom condo, rather than stay here.
So why is 3.1 miles away so much better? Reason #1, I love the area where this place is. We have had and still have friends that live there. Which brings me to reason #2. Reason #2, We have friends that live with in 1 building, or about a minute walk. Reason #3, Laundry is in our own unit! 10 years of taking laundry to the laundrymat either on site or lately down the street is over! Reason #4, we have an addition to our family. A little girl (all though not final yet, but soon to be adopted) has been given to us and she is going to need her own room. (Currently she’s in our room, but she turns 1 years old tomorrow and she has been in our room far too long.)
I noticed that with all that has been going on, I have not updated this site in a while. June 12th was my last post. Here we are over 2 months later.
Moving starts next weekend so I won’t be posting till next month sometime, but hopefully sooner than my last post.
Until the next time,
